it's show time

I went to the show over the long weekend & it was good but it was also soooooo bad. I had a lot of fun because J and I always manage to make our lives together fun by singing and dancing and eating corn at every possible chance we get, but there was sooooo much stuff that was upsetting hint hint animal agriculture and animals used for entertainment. The animal stuff did put a weird sad cloud over the whole day, but I'm not gonna go into it too much because I can't be bothered. Anyway, besides sad and weird, there were some highlights! One of my faaaaavourite things we saw was the spook castle. It was your regular spooky haunted castle ride but it was literally just called SPOOK. I am having major regrets about not going on Spook castle. What made it even better was that there was a guy dressed as the grim reaper  on the top level and he was SOOOOOO OVER IT. He was so bored and stressed and the least enthusiastic person about being alive. You could tell he was dying (ha ha!) to get out of there. When the spook coasters came by he just tapped the riders on the shoulder with his machete in such an apathetic way, it was incredible.

An obvious good thing was: fooooood. Not all of the food was good. We weren't really hungry when we got there, but I decided after a little bit of walking around and being sad over animals and excited about MEME ART MADE BY CHILDREN (IMAGINE. Blob fish painted in watercolours. Doge DOGE some kid painted doge and entered it in a competition) that I needed food. I bought some dutch pancakes because they are usually amazing but they were soooo very just not good. We laughed really hard because I picked the option with butter assuming it would be drizzled in melted butter, then the powdered sugar would go on top and it would be DELISH but I was so wrong SO WRONG. I got my dutch pancakes with a side of a solid little butter block. It was very bizarre and it did not melt at all and it was just not worth the $7 or the disappointment.

I bought some lolly showbags because I like destroying my teeth. We also had some v good corn, would recommend. Everyone who knows me knows how much I fkn love corn. If you don't already know: I fkn LOVE corn. If I go to any sort of market or festival type thing, I always get corn.

Two of the very best highlights of the day were fairy floss! and winning my small son!

Fairy floss is another one of those things that I get every time I am at any sort of market/festival/thing where fairy floss is sold. Buying and eating fairy floss larger than my head is one of my long term ongoing life goals.

We saw someone walking around with a sheep and from that moment we were filled with more determination than ever before to win ourselves a friend. And we did. We won!! A boy!! We named him Our Son because he is our son. We won him in a lottery game because we bought five tickets (we only spent $10 it was worth it) Honestly, winning our boy made it kind of worth going, but I probably also wouldn't go again. Maybe I'd go to go on spook and win more sons, but probably not.

Here is a photo of our son in our home. I hope you're all jealous because he is so good and so soft. Bye!
